Hobbes
Prior to you coming we had some concerns about Hobbes lacking a general relaxed feel to him with many small triggers being quite overwhelming for him. We’ve been using your customised plan for the last few months and slowly introducing more and more steps as Hobbes has shown us he is ready. This summer holiday, Hobbes travelled 5 hours in a car without an upset tum and largely sleeping on the kids laps. He walked on a loose lead, focused on us. He walked away from cats and came to me for treats. He was silent and calm as a courier delivered a package. He didnt even look at the vacuum cleaner. And when he was tired, he left the room and took himself off to his bed, after giving everyone a goodnight smooch of course! Every single one of these was not possible before working with you. Your information was thorough and allowed for progress, it was easy to understand and a great resource for us when small questions came up. Your email support has been incredible. We look forward to working with you again!!

Ruby

I have a 3yr old rescue who was shut away for the first 14 weeks and had no concept of the real world. After some bad advice from some so called experts she went from a scared pup into an absolute nervous wreck (growling and fearful of everything- including people!) After finding positive based training I worked hard and was left with a few problem areas – enter Sacha! Just two visits to my home to confirm I was on the right track and to tweak what I was doing and I finally have a dog who can happily walk with me on her lead now. Sacha taught me how to understand Ruby’s growling was her way of letting me know she wasn’t happy and we needed to back off and give more space. She will never be bullet proof, but I would like to say Sacha was able to help me figure out what I can and cant expect from Ruby! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sacha 🙂 she is a wealth of information and is very much about putting your dogs needs first.

Teddy

Teddy and I have had such a great experience training with Sacha!!

We have both made such huge improvements to our lifestyle, I’ve been given tools and guidelines that have helped Teddy become more confident, calm, and focused.

Sacha has shown me how powerful positive reinforcement really is when used correctly and consistently, and Teddy and I both really enjoy our training sessions. I’ve learnt so much more about Teddy and how to read him. Thank you so much!

Archie

Several months ago I engaged Sacha to help with training. I am very happy with the positive training techniques that Sacha has taught me. I have learnt alot from our sessions and are delighted to see improvements in Archie’s general behaviour and interaction with other dogs. After each session Sacha emails a Behaviour Report which I find is helpful to refer to. Archie is now learning better manners, though can still be a bit impulsive at times. I would highly recommend Sacha to anyone looking for a Dog Trainer.

Chevy & Zoe

You gave us the awesome tools to work with my two fur kids. Its amazing my dogs really work well on everything you have shown us, force free for my girl Zoe has been awesome as everything with her needs to be slow and steady she cant be rushed. My boy Chevy works well with this method aswell. Sacha is always there if you get stuck. I wouldn’t change a thing about your methods, and how you communicate with us humans is awesome. My little family thank you

Rikki

I first met Sacha when fostering puppies and needed help with a particularly traumatised wee one, who we ended up adopting. Always enjoy a training session with Sacha. She has an innate ability to see beyond our frustrations and quickly get to the crux of what’s really going on. We’ve roped Sacha in whenever we’ve hit a stumbling block, and after an hour or so we’re well on the way to getting our dog behaving more how we’d like her to be. Thanks Sacha… Rikki is starting to realise she’s not required to walk at warp speed

Ziggy

My partner & I had a few sessions with Sacha to help us assess and manage some issues we were having with a foster dog. She gave us some great advice and techniques for managing dog reactivity, using only positive reinforcement (no mention of alphas or dominance thank you very much), and we made good progress over a couple of months. I would highly recommend working with Sacha – she is professional, knowledgable and above all just loves dogs!

Izzy

Sacha has worked with our dog Izzy a number of times since we adopted her, and prior to that through the rescue she came from. We love Sacha’s stress free, holistic approach and commitment to force-free training. It was very important for us to get a trainer who gave us the tools we needed with Izzy while at the same time understanding her unique needs and limitations. Thanks Sacha!

Archie

Your training with Archie and I has been transformative and life changing. With yet more to do … but on the whole the changes in Archie in such a relatively short space of time has given both of us confidence and a better understanding of each other. I’m truly looking forward to the next session, onice we can sort our schedule out. Thank you SO much for all you have done for us so far

Jamie

I adopted my border collie Jamie with many challenges: – reactivity towards people, on leash, unknown objects, noises
– very little focus when training, that quickly tipped into OCD behaviours when frustrated
– extremely insecure in many situations
– over-excitement around children & guests
– very high working drive
I had worked on a lot of issues on my own (strictly positively), but needed help with people reactivity that had taken a turn for the worse through the preparation for and finally the move from Germany to New Zealand. Jamie’s anxiety with strangers was quite extreme – as were his reactions. If someone only looked at him, he burst out into a fit of growling and barking. Jamie was a brilliant case study for Grisha Stewart’s BAT training. We carefully worked through Jamies anxieties and taught him to make good choices. That has given him more confidence and an alternative to his previous behaviours. The training with Sacha has taught me to read Jamie’s body language a lot better. I’m now able to manage situations better, because I am able to prevent escalations and I give him the security he needs to be comfortable in his environment. As a result he is much less on edge and his “outburst” are very rare. We’ve also learned to take things much slower so that we set Jamie up for success. Celebrating each single step is important, every tiny little improvement is a success – and it is worth working slowly to get lasting results rather than trying to get a quick fix that only deals with the symptom but not the cause. Jamie is a much happier dog now – and I am a more reliable partner for Jamie. Thanks Sacha!
